Variable power dividers and couplers

Home » Services » Variable power dividers and couplers

Overview

We offer comprehensive design services on a variety of both fixed and variable power division ratio couplers and power dividers up to 60 GHz. Our variable power division ratio couplers and power dividers are capable of power ratios of up to 40 dB. Our fixed power division ratio couplers and power dividers are designed to suit the requirements of the customer, such as the power division ratio, operational frequency range and the amount of tolerable insertion losses, to name but a few. In a similar manner, our variable power division ratio couplers and power dividers are tailor-made to suit the electrical, size and cost requirements of the customer. In this aspect, we offer continuously variable power division devices where the power split among ports can be continuously adjusted (variable capacitance based) or designs where the power split among the ports can be adjusted in a stepwise fashion (switch based). As the performance of any variable power division device is a strong function of the characteristics of the active component, all our variable power division device designs are optimized to make the best use of the chosen active device (switching time, parasitic resistance, capacitance ratios and package parasitics, to name a few), in order to yield an optimum performance that meets or, usually, exceeds customer requiremens. Our extensive expertise enables us to rapidly produce an optimum power divider/coupler design, depending on customers’ requirements.
